XTG-101 is a small and compact, hardware based ASIC solution for NAPT applications. The 100Mbps full duplex wirespeed NAPT throughput and low cost design make it the ideal replacement for the slower and costly CPU + software based solution.
XTG-101 may be built into the uplink module of Ethernet Switch to provide an ordinary switch with IP-Sharing capability. The Reversed MII interface of XTG-101 allows it tobe connected to the uplink port of the Ethernet Switch Controller directlywithout an additional PHY for media conversion. Hence, reducing the complexity and cost of the solution.
XTG-101 can be integrated with switch controller and PHY to form a standalone, low cost, low latency IP-Sharing device.
XTG-101 supports in-band control via LAN port for setting Static Entries, Public IP, MyMAC, Static Route, TOC (Time Out Counter), PPPoE Account and Password, and DHCPIP Pool Range…etc.. The settings are kept in 93C46 EEPROM and are re-loaded into XTG-101 automatically.
XTG-101 supports wide array of NAPT functions including: NAPT (PAT), DHCP Client / Server, ARP, PPPoE, PPP, PAP, CHAP, ICMP, Broadcast Packet Filtering, and Multicast Packet Filtering.
Three independent DIP switches are provided for enabling / disabling DHCP Server Modefor LAN Ports, enabling / disabling DHCP Client Mode for WAN Port, and enabling/ disabling Bridge Mode for XTG-101.
The low power consumption of XTG-101 enables it to dissipate less heat hence making it a very reliable solution for continuous operation.
All supported NAPT functions are built into XTG-101, no software effort is needed for building IP-Sharing capability into Ethernet device.
